Expression of Solidarity

At the Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies, our entire community is deeply affected by the recent Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli civilians on October 7th, 2023. Some of our students, faculty and staff lost their friends and family members, others are anxiously waiting to hear from those missing loved ones that may have been taken hostage. Many of us are grieving. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by these devastating events and the ongoing fallout.  It is now more important than ever to continue with our mission, and above all, to be together whenever possible. For all our differences, we are a community, and we hope to embody those values. The Universtiy of Toronto's statement can be read here.
